Dr. Karl Hanson
Dr. Karl is a graduate of LSU Medical School and LSU Family Medicine Residency where he was Chief Resident. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has been practicing since 1987 in Jefferson Parish. Karl is also a graduate of University of New Orleans & Destrehan High School.
He is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. After a 3 year stint at Browne-McHardy Clinic he has been in solo practice since 1990.
Dr. Karl’s most important attribute is that he is part of Southern Tradition Barbershop Quartet and does woodworking as a hobby.

Samia Suleman, MD
Dr Suleman (aka Dr. Sam) has participated in a range of national and international experiences, which have shaped her outlook and practice in medicine. She attended the Johns Hopkins University for her Undergraduate education. It is there that she developed her passion for medicine and Research. She was the recipient for the Johns Hopkins University Provost Award. An Award for research of a Novel COX II inhibitor on Peritumoral Brain Edema on Gliomas.
Her passion for research and serving humanity brought her back to Louisiana where she received her Masters of Science in Public Health from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She received her Medical degree from The Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed 2 years of residency from Ochsner Kenner Family residency program before moving to Ireland with her husband where she worked in Acute Medicine at the University Hospital Limerick. They moved back home to Kenner to be closer to family and fell in love with the city again!
She is an expert in wound care and started her own practice, Suleman Primary Care LLC in 2021. Dr. Sam is the Diabetes Care Coordinator for Infinity Health.
She eagerly learned more about direct primary care and is ecstatic about joining Infinity Health DPC and serving the New Orleans Metro Kenner area. Dr. Sam loves to try out new restaurants. She enjoys travel with her husband, and is an avid reader.

Anica “Nikki” Hurst
A native New Orleanian, Nikki has been with Dr. Hanson since May 2013. She received her Associate of Science degree from Delgado Community College. Nikki is also a certified phlebotomist and EKG technician and has worked in the medical community before joining Infinity Health. Before that she graduated from Xavier University Prep. She’s a big fan of the Saints, Pelicans and her dog!
Nikki is skilled at medical billing, coding, authorizations and dealing with insurance companies. None of those tasks contribute to YOUR health care so we hope to spend less time on them. You will typically hear her first when you call. Nikki is adept at handling most of your questions or concerns and can answer many of your questions about Direct Primary Care.
